Global Game Jam Ukraine 2026

For many years humanity has been searching for new ways to produce energy - cleaner, more controlled, and suitable for long-term use. In response to increasing environmental and energy restrictions, a remote experimental power was established - a pilot project of a new type of energy. The station was positioned as a safe alternative to traditional energy sources and received financing as a strategically important object.
During testing, the station experienced a serious technical failure. Due to fear of losing financing and closing the project, management decided to cover up the incident and continue operating in an unstable mode.
A series of technical and human errors led to the failure of the central control systems. The energy blocks entered an emergency state with limited voltage, and the purification systems stopped working properly.
As a result, the environment was put at risk. The only way to prevent further disaster is for the specialists to intervene, manually restoring the station by interacting with local technical modes.

Your task is to stabilize the experimental power station. To do this, you must manually restore the key system by interacting with local technical nodes.
In one node, you repair damaged electrical circuits by correctly placing and fixing missing components. In another, you stabilize the energy flow by synchronizing an unstable wave with a reference signal.
Be careful: every wrong decision can lead failure or damage to the environment.

Multiplayer:
The game supports cooperative multiplayer.
One player creates a session as the host, while other players join as clients.

You can play together in two ways:
LAN — players connect using the host’s IP address and port
Online — players connect using a Join Code

After the game scene is loaded, the host can find the IP/Port or Join Code in the Pause Menu and share it with other players.

The world of masks

«Faceless» is a 2.5D action platformer where precision and endurance matter more than sheer force. Here, patience isn't just a word, but the foundation of survival: every step must be measured, every movement deliberate, and every blow deadly.

  [Story]
You play as Amane, a young apprentice of the Order of the Empty Masks, a secret brotherhood that exists beyond law, history, and mercy. The Order serves no kings, gods, or peoples. Its goal is to eliminate those whose existence disrupts the fragile balance of the world – tyrants, usurpers, executioners in crowns, and heroes who have gone too far.
The Order does not save, nor does it punish it finishes.
Your first real test takes you to Horian, a city strangled by a cruel ruler who has seized power with blood and fear. Your initiation requires sacrifice: rid the city of the tyrant and return with the masks that will become your new face.

  [World and secrets]
Spiritual Masks are ancient artifacts that grant their wearer unique abilities. Each mask provides powerful enhancements, but strength is never given for free – every ability requires a trial to be earned.
The Order has left secret caches of masks throughout Horian. Searching for them may bring one closer to the truth… or to death.

  [Blade and Gunpowder]
Amane is not defenseless. Master a hybrid combat system that demands adaptability:
  > The Sword: your primary tool for close-quarters combat. Use it to strike down foes or raise it to block incoming attacks, turning the enemy's aggression against them.
  > The Gun: when the enemy is too dangerous to approach, switch to your firearm. Unleash ranged attacks to keep threats at bay or fire mid-air to momentarily defy gravity and rain death from above.

  [The Masks]
Amane can collect different masks, but only one active mask can be worn at a time. Switching masks via the Radial Menu [E] alters your movement capabilities to suit the situation:

  > Mask of the Swift (Dash) - grants a rapid burst of horizontal speed. Essential for evading enemy attacks and crossing wide gaps that a normal jump cannot clear.
  > Mask of the Ascendant (Double Jump) - allows the wearer to step upon the air itself. Grants a second jump while mid-air, providing verticality to reach high ledges or correct a fatal fall.
  > Mask of the Climber (Wall Jump) - grants the grip and agility to scale vertical surfaces. Allows you to bounce off walls to ascend towering structures [**].

  [Controls]
  Basic:
   > [WASD] [Space] - Movement
   > [S] - Drop down [*]
   > [Q] - Switch weapon
   > [LMB] [F] - Attack
   > Hold [RMB] - Sword block
   > Hold [E] - Inventory

  Mask Abilities:
   > [LShift] - Dash
   > [W] - Wall jump [**]

[*] Only certain platforms allow you to drop down: press [S] while standing on one to drop. You can also jump up through them from below.
[**] To wall jump: stand close to a wall, jump, and press [W] while in mid-air to bounce off.

Inspired by cyberpunk and art-deco mysticism, this is a puzzle platformer where you play as a sentient Mask. You don’t directly control characters — instead, you launch yourself onto Citizens and Brutes to possess them and influence their actions.

On its own, the Mask slowly runs out of energy and can do very little. To progress, you must strategically move between NPCs, using abilities like Scare, Command, and Stun to manipulate their behavior. Citizens can operate mechanisms, Brutes can throw you across obstacles, and sometimes simply clinging to an NPC is the safest way to travel. The key to solving each level is indirect control — choosing the right NPC, at the right time, in the right place.

~ Developers' Notes ~
This game is designed as a puzzle experience with a slightly chaotic flavor — experiment, observe NPC behavior, and embrace the improvisation.
Energy drains when the Mask is not attached to someone, so plan your moves wisely.
We had a lot of fun making this — we hope you’ll have fun figuring it out!

This is a 2D time-loop detective game where information is your only weapon. Explore a palace, overhear conspiracies, and alter the past to prevent three planed assassination attempts before midnight. Every detail you find is a chance to mend a fate frozen within a porcelain mask.

A detective arrives to investigate the murder of the collector Heinrich Austen. Among the victim’s belongings, he discovers a porcelain mask of Duchess Lucretia from her final ball. When he tries on the mask, the protagonist becomes trapped in a time loop of the past, where at the same hour each time the woman dies in a different way: poisoned with arsenic, shot by a lovestruck young man, crushed beneath a falling chandelier.

Each death turns time back, and every “reset” offers a chance to prevent the next murder. Yet by changing the fate of one person, the detective triggers a new tragedy. Who truly wants Lucretia dead? How many killers are hiding behind their masks? And is it possible to save the duchess without destroying everyone around her?

Mask of Madness is an action game dedicated to mountaineering, in which you must reach the summit of a hostile mountain.

You don't just climb up-you crawl, cling, and move your limbs, carefully choosing each place to grab hold so you don't fall. Mountaineering is the essence of the game: your body, balance, and available footholds determine how far you can go.

Along the way, you find masks left behind by dead climbers.
When you put on a mask, it unlocks additional handholds and alternative climbing routes, expanding your capabilities but also changing your perception of the mountain.

The climb is not peaceful.
Hanging from the rock, you must fight enemies with a sword and crossbow. Combat is fast and risky: attacking often means letting go of a foothold, losing your balance, or risking a fall.

Each encounter forces you to make a decision:
continue climbing, fight for safety, or risk everything for a better position.

At the top, the Mask of Madness awaits you - an object of obsession that pulls you upward, even when the mountain seems determined to throw you back down.

Controls:

- Click with your hand on an object to pick it up

Tribe is a 3D strategy game with indirect control, where you manage a tribe through masks rather than direct commands.

By putting masks on the settlers, you change their roles: builders construct a camp, miners extract gold, warriors defend the settlers, and without masks, they are simply survivors.

The world may look peaceful, but danger is always approaching. Every 60 seconds, a wave of enemies emerges from a hostile portal hidden deep in the forest. They attack your settlers, destroy your buildings, and can wipe out your tribe.

Build your base, defend your tribe, and prepare for the final strike on the enemy portal.
Masks are your power, but every decision has a price.

Hint: Balance your masks carefully. Switching roles at the right moment is the key to survival.

NABU Express is a 2D step-by-step multiplayer funny game. There are two types of characters - corrupted officials and NABU agents who come to search their houses. The gameplay starts with a setup phase where the officials hide their money into several spots. Then there're two looped phases: planning and execution. Planning consists of 3-5 steps in planning phase. During each step users one-by-one select an action to be performed in future execution phase. There're following action types to be selected: movement, search spot, put item into the spot, search other player, wear/take off the MASK (for the NABU agents). Once a full queue of plans is done, execution phase begins. At this phase players execute their planned actions in the same order they have been panning them. At this point almost any action needs a bit more of specificity, so when moving is planned - a movement spot should be selected, when searching an item spot or a person should be selected, etc. Also there is an unusual FoV dimension - player can see what happens in adjacent rooms, and that's where mask wearing/taking off mechanism makes difference (at least should have made in case it was implemented :) ). So when a NABU agent wears a mask, his FoV is limited to the room he's currently in. But in case he doesn't wear a mask when a corrupted official is in the same room, then the agent becomes deanonymized, so he would become sad, hang his head down, therefore his FoV is only one room again. Agents have a quantitative advantage, but they need to find all the hidden items, while preserve at least one agent anonymized.

This is a detective game set during a masquerade.
All the “guests” wear masks, hiding their true nature, and among them lurks a murderer.
As the player, you must uncover the criminal by analyzing the characters’ speech, intonation, and emotions. Clues recorded in the journal will aid your investigation, helping you identify the killer through distinctive traits and behavioral details. But nothing is that simple. Time for the investigation is limited, and the tension steadily rises — enhanced by the sound design, which evolves as the player approaches the final decision.

All of us face situations that bring out the worst in us, but our social masks hold the line so that we don’t fall flat on our faces.
Envy clashes with Restraint, Laziness with Responsibility, Fear with Duty.

In this game, you take control of our Masks — but be prepared to confront all the evil that lies deep within.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to implement many things, such as card mechanics, additional core masks, and deeper gameplay.
Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the result. Enjoy the game!

In the center of the main hall, Larry finds the Emerald Mask. As soon as his fingers touch the cold metal, the castle walls shake and the floor disappears. Larry didn't just put on an accessory — he signed a contract with Space itself.

Level 1: Titan's Curse (Mossy Dungeon)

The mask transports Larry to the damp depths of the Abandoned Dungeon. Here, the stones are covered with millennia-old moss, and the path is blocked by heavy slabs and debris. He discovers that the artifact gave him the power to become a giant. At the end of the dungeon he finds a new mask.

Level 2: Weightlessness Mine (Crystal Grotto)

Larry finds himself in a surreal mine where the walls are studded with giant purple crystals. The air here is thick with magic. Now he has a choice: strength or lightness and gravitation with a power of two masks.

Level 3: The Edge of Reality (Galactic Ether)

The last mask pulls Larry out of the physical world. He finds himself among stars, comets, and shards of broken mirrors flying through the void. This is the “Other Side of the World.” He has a choice of all three powers combined, the new power allowing him to teleport.

Power of the Green mask : A green glow fills Larry's body with incredible strength. He becomes a giant, capable of smashing stone platforms and pushing multi-ton boxes.

Power of the Purple mask: Using the Amethyst Mask, Larry “falls upward,” instantly changing the vector of gravity.

Power of Blue mask: He uses the Azure Mask to become incorporeal and pass through walls (quantum teleportation).

But Larry must act sparingly: each mask usage depletes the magic background (which affects the star rating).

Shadow of the mask

Rip & Run is a hardcore 2D action-runner with body-horror elements. You play as an unstable parasitic organism that decays in seconds. Your only chance of survival is to constantly switch hosts by launching yourself into them.
• The Guard: Brute force. Smashes through walls.
• The Scientist: Access granted. Bypasses scanners.
• The Parasite: Agile but dying. Use it to find a new host!

Overview
The Face You Deserve is a lo-fi psychological horror game based on the "Incident 156" archive. You are a reporter who followed a lead too far, stumbling upon a location that doesn't exist on any map: The House on the Hill. This isn't a story about a hero. It’s a record of a fatal mistake.

The Story
In January 2004, a journalist disappeared while investigating rumors of an anomalous zone. The last recovered footage shows a windowless monolith, a towering, silent pipe on the horizon, and a strange, ancient mask left behind in the dirt. Driven by curiosity-or perhaps something darker-you put it on. That was the moment you stopped being a reporter and became part of the Incident. The mask didn't just hide your face; it gave you the one you truly deserved.
